Petersen Drilling Services provide Drilling Services for the Geotechnical, Environmental and Mining Industries throughout the island of Ireland.  We also construct small diameter abstraction wells for irrigation and domestic use. 

Petersen Drilling Services is an owner operated business established in 2004 by Stephan Petersen, who is fully qualified in Drilling and Well Construction with over 25 years of experience, having completed his training in Germany in 2000. 

Groundwater Monitoring / Testing

Petersen Drilling Services specialise in the construction of groundwater monitoring wells to EPA specifications for many of our major clients throughout the environmental, hydrological and mining sectors.

Well Decomissioning / Grouting

Petersen Drilling Services can decommission old wells to client requirements including over-drilling and extraction of installs as well as borehole grouting.

Geotechnical Drilling

Petersen Drilling Services can carry out a range of rotary and shell and auger drilling methods for geotechnical purposes. Core drilling sizes from HQ to Geobore S, window / window less sampling as well as the full range of insitu testing.

Water Well Construction

We can carry out well construction for domestic and commercial use, up to a drilling diameter of 8 inch / 200mm. Wells can be constructed in bedrock as well as alluvial deposits, to depths of 150meters.

Exploration Drilling

We can carry out shallow exploration drilling to identify resources for mining / quarrying operations. We have specialised in sand and gravel exploration for quarries, with accurate sample extraction in unconsolidated soils of up to 60meters depth.

Well Jetting / Regeneration

We have the equipment and expertise in well cleaning to conduct well cleaning using high pressure jetting or air lift. We can also carry out chemical injection for regeneration or treatment of wells.
